Roger's accident and our fundraising for The Spinal Injuries Trust

As some of our clients will already know, on February 1st 2011, Cambrian Associates' MD Roger Taylor was involved in accident near his home in Lower Kinnerton. Roger was knocked off his pushbike and suffered a broken back, femur and wrist, amongst other injuries.

While this has obviously been a terrible time for Roger's family and all at Cambrian, there has been much positive news.  After several successful operations and 5 1/2 months in hospital, Roger returned home in July 2011.  He was initially confined to a wheel chair.  Roger has now amazed doctors by walking, climbing stairs and even driving.

We would particularly like to thank the staff at Walton Neurological Centre who operated on Roger and the staff at Gobowen Orthopedic hospital who were responsible for his care and rehabilitation.  Without them, Roger's recovery would have certainly not been possible.

This successful outcome is due to Roger's incredible determination not to let things get in his way, and the hard work and support of his family and care team.

In order to express our thanks to the team at Gobowen Orthopedic hospital, Roger and his friend and client Adrian Rushforth (Head of Strings at The King's School) are organising a concert at St Werburgh's Church, Chester on Friday March 16th 2012 to raise funds for The Spinal Injuries Trust.

Please contact Janice Jones (01244 526327) if you would like to attend.

Admission is free, but we are requesting donations to The Spinal Injuries Centre Oswestry Trust.
