Many of our gold clients have now switched into the new portfolios announced at the beginning of January. Indeed, we are so pleased with the success of the quarterly emails and the response received, at annual review we will now invite our Silver clients to also receive our fund recommendations quarterly.
The UK economy finally returned to growth in the fourth quarter of last year. The economy grew by 0.1 per cent in the final three months of the year, as both the service sector and manufacturing saw output rise. It is early days but promising.
The markets had an excellent start to the year after a good end to 2009, with the FTSE100 reaching a high of 5538 on 11th January. With this of course, some selling was to be expected and it has suffered an adjustment and sits today at 5211.
